About Me

Practical experience

I have been a qualified English teacher since 2016, supporting students with both GCSE and A-Level studies. I have also tutored many students and can confidently help most students make at least 2 grades improvement.

I have taught many classes and have practical experience with the following:

SEN education (particularly ASD)
GCSE language
GCSE literature
Revision techniques
A Level Literature
A Level Language and Literature
Creative writing

I have also been working as a supply teacher in and around Norfolk, Norwich since September 2021.

All relevant qualifications (including DBS check) can be provided if requested.

Additional experience

I am an Examiner for one of the main GCSE exam boards so know of the ways to ensure students achieve good grades.

I have plenty of experience in tutoring both online and in person. On average my students tend to make at least 2 grades of progress through tutoring.
I have my Google Education qualification Level 1 and Level 2 so can make use of a variety of different methods to ensure engagement and progress remotely.

Personal interests

I am currently studying for my Masters degree in English Studies (The Gothic) at Manchester Metropolitan University and hope to engage in further study of this field of Gothic Literature in the future.

I am incredibly passionate about all things to do with literature and am thrilled to have the opportunity to share this passion and hopefully inspire students to perhaps consider literature in a different way!

I have a strong interest in competitive stunt Cheerleading and have been both a coach and an athlete since 2015.

I have also trained multiple teams for public speaking and poetry competitions, with many wins and final places to my name.
